AI tools
The module exposes three Function Call plugins in the AI Code Review UI group. Enable the required tools in your AI assistant or agent configuration.

The optional submission argument review_policy_id uses the configured
default when absent. Set it to none to omit additional instructions. See
Review policies for selection and validation details.
Permissions
Grant Use AI Code Review UI AI tools to the assistant's execution account, together with the existing Add and View review permissions as needed. The tools check these permissions when executed, including direct invocation. View permission allows access to reviews across this Drupal site.
Tools accept local review IDs. Callers cannot select arbitrary backend job IDs, server endpoints, credentials, or raw LLM models. The configured review provider profile supplies the review model separately from the assistant's model.
Review workflow
- Submit the review once and retain the returned local review ID.
- Check status between agent turns or scheduled workflow steps.
- Retrieve the result after completion.
Do not repeatedly submit the same review while waiting. UI, cron, and AI status checks use the same polling service. This integration exposes review functionality to AI consumers; the review server continues to run the review.
The AI project provides the Function Call API used by these tools. The ordinary review form also works without an AI assistant or polling scheduler.
